ABOUT
Award-winning comedic storyteller since 2012, Kay brings her brand of Minnesota humor to the stage, don’t cha’ know. San Francisco’s KPIX TV featured her on Evening Magazine and since then, it has been Game On. From NPR to Twitter she has poked fun at herself, blending humor and true stories to create Top Tier Entertainment. With deep roots in Improv and Stand-Up, she thrives on laughter as the antidote to life’s challenges. She’s a leader in workshops and retreats - coaching everyone from CEOs to ministers, from Wells Fargo to Twitter. And more. For five years she even coached the players of the Oakland A’s. In storytelling, not baseball.
“Kay’s a healer, a master storyteller, and a very funny lady.”
Glynn Washington, Host, NPR Radio Snap Judgment
“It’s pretty tough to get a room full of bioscientists to laugh. But Kay did!’
Steven Blotner, Scientist, Genentech
“We’ve worked together multiple times, but recently I came to Kay for help with story structure on a pilot project - I highly recommend her!
Jason Phipps, FOX Sports
Amazon 2025 Book Release:
‘Release the Crap, Embrace the Laugh’ Volume 1
This book is for the sophisticated slow-laughers who eye-roll over puns and lame comedy, but love nothing more than to let out a roof-raising guffaw. You recognize yourself as the subtle observational type who picks up the funny contradictions of life, yet also delights in exchanging snarky sarcasm with a friend over cold pizza and leftover cheesecake.
I wrote it for myself.
And people like me.
Through these five award-winning personal stories, not only will you be entertained, but you’ll learn the backstories, how the story was crafted, and tips for you to copy.
Life is short and stuff happens. Not always funny stuff. But there’s humor in everything. It might take some time, some distance, and a new attitude - but it’s there. So release that crap and embrace the laugh!
I know.
Because producing storytelling events every month for ten years and also telling a story at each one, was an education. Stories are self exploration at its finest, and the fastest way to let people know you. You have stories to tell - so let yourself be authentic and entertaining.
But hey, even if you’re not interested in telling your stories . . . yet . . . nothing is better than reading true, funny stories.
Enjoy!
